What makes RUTAM different from other hair care brands?

RUTAM combines advanced bio-science with clean beauty principles. Our proprietary RUTAM3X+EXO™ platform integrates microbiome science, postbiotic actives, exosome delivery, and botanical complexes to support scalp and hair wellness at the cellular level. We maintain an 8-Free System with naturally fermented preservatives, ensuring 91-93% naturally derived formulations.

What does "8-Free" mean?

Our formulations exclude eight common ingredients: silicones, sulfates, parabens, alcohol, phthalates, formaldehyde, synthetic fragrances, and mineral oils. Instead, we use lactobacillus-derived natural preservatives and plant-based ingredients that work with your scalp's natural biology.

Are RUTAM products vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes. All RUTAM products are plant-based formulated, vegan-compatible, and never tested on animals. We're committed to ethical beauty without compromise.

Do you have a physical store?

RUTAM is online-first at the moment. Our debut Illinois retail placement is on the way, and we’ll share official stockists here and via @Rutam.Store as they go live. Until then, enjoy a seamless experience with free U.S. shipping and free returns.

How do I use the Ageless Revitalizing Scalp & Volume Mist?

Apply 5-6 sprays directly to dry or damp scalp, targeting the roots. Massage gently with fingertips. No rinsing required. Use daily, morning or evening, on wash days and non-wash days alike. Our dual-action formula provides immediate volume while supporting long-term scalp health.

When should I apply the N°8 Intensive Hair Serum?

Apply 1-2 pumps to towel-dried hair and scalp before bedtime. Our 8-Hour Self-Repair System™ works overnight to support hair restoration. Massage into scalp and distribute through lengths. Do not rinse. One 50ml bottle provides 65-100 applications.

Can I use all three products together?

Absolutely. Our products are designed to work synergistically. For optimal results:

Morning: Scalp & Volume Mist on scalp
Before styling: 360 Pro Shield on lengths
Evening: N°8 Serum on scalp and hair

How long until I see results?

Results vary by individual. Many users notice improved texture and volume within the first use. For visible scalp and hair improvements, consistent use for 2-4 weeks is recommended. Optimal results typically appear within 4-8 weeks of regular use.

What is the RUTAM3X+EXO™ Complex?

RUTAM3X+EXO™ is our patent-pending plant-based exosome delivery technology. Exosomes are cellular communication vehicles that support natural regeneration processes. Our plant-derived complex helps deliver active ingredients more effectively to support scalp and hair wellness.

Are RUTAM products safe for color-treated hair?

Yes. Our sulfate-free, gentle formulations are suitable for all hair types, including color-treated, chemically processed, and keratin-treated hair. The 360° Pro Shield specifically supports color preservation and vibrancy.

  What about exosomes—how do you describe that safely?

We reference advanced exosome/ferment actives as part of our RUTAM3X+EXO™ platform for visible scalp & hair benefits, without making medical claims

 Do you use EWG-rated ingredients?

Yes. We formulate with select EWG 1–2 rated ingredients (where applicable).

 Are the products microbiome-friendly?

Our system is designed to support scalp microbiome balance and comfort. (See benefits listed on product labels.)

 Do you add fragrance?

We’re synthetic-fragrance-free per our 8-Free policy. Any light scent reflects the formula’s ingredients rather than added synthetic perfume.

 Where are RUTAM products made?

Made in Korea in a cGMP-certified facility with batch traceability.

 Are the products dermatologist-tested or hypoallergenic?

Formal dermatologist-supervised testing is pending. We’ll update once complete.

 What are the product pH and stability basics?

pH 5.0–5.5 (scalp-friendly range).

Each SKU is developed and manufactured under cGMP with quality controls (see labels/OEM guide).

 Shelf life & best-by?

Mist (100 ml): Best used by 24 months from manufacture date.

Nº8 Serum (50 ml): Best used by 36 months.

360º Pro Shield (100 ml): Best used by 24 months.

Can I use RUTAM during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

While our products use clean, naturally derived ingredients, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before introducing new products during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

             Allergens or irritants?

              We avoid common irritants per our 8-Free standard and select EWG 1–2 rated                ingredients. Always check the full INCI on your product and patch test if you                  have sensitivities.

             Do you conduct animal testing or sell where it’s required?

              We’re cruelty-free and do not test on animals. For region-specific compliance,                 we follow local laws while maintaining our cruelty-free position.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept a variety of payment methods including credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), PayPal, and Apple Pay.

Do you offer installment payment options?

Yes — eligible orders can pay in installments with Shop Pay at checkout.
Select Shop Pay → “Pay over time.” Availability depends on your location and cart total. If installments don’t appear, that order isn’t eligible.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes, we take the security of our customers' payment information seriously. All transactions are processed securely and we use industry-standard encryption technology to protect your information.

5. RETURNS, REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

Return Policy Overview

RUTAM maintains a structured return policy due to hygiene and safety regulations governing cosmetic products.

Eligible Returns 

✅ UNOPENED Products may be returned within 30 days for refund if:

  1. Product packaging and seals remain completely intact
  2. No evidence of opening, use, or tampering
  3. Product is returned in original condition with all components
  4. Return is received at our facility within 30 days of your delivery date

Return Requirements for Unopened Products:1. Product Packaging and Seals Must Remain Intact: When returning an unopened product, it is important to ensure that the packaging and seals are still in their original condition. This means that there should be no tears, rips or damage to the packaging, and all seals must still be intact.

2. No Evidence of Opening, Use or Tampering: In addition to the packaging and seals being intact, there should also be no evidence of the product being opened, used or tampered with. This includes any broken seals, missing components or signs of wear and tear.

3. All Components Must Be Returned: When sending back an unopened product for a refund, it is crucial that all components are included. This means that all accessories

             Yes. We currently ship to the United States, Canada, Duai, South Korea, Japan,                  and Australia. International orders may be subject to customs duties determined               by your country's regulations.

            Please note: Returns or refunds are only accepted if the product is                        defective or damaged upon arrival.

             Proof of purchase is required.

             A photo of the defective or damaged product must be submitted within 7 days of                delivery.

              If approved, a replacement or refund will be issued to the original payment                         method.

              Products without defects or issues are not eligible for return or refund.
